Week one of the Seneca Pure Waters' Harmful Algal Bloom Monitoring season is in the books and there were no blooms found.

The last two years our volunteers have reported HABs before the end of August. Last week the average surface water temperature was 76.90°F (FLI Buoy), and with air temperature averaging above 84°F we could be seeing blooms very soon!
