SNPR Program funds 19 projects since inception

Since beginning in 1991, the SNPR Program has now provided funding to 19 different projects throughout the watershed!

2024 was a really exciting year for our Sediment, Nutrient, and Pollution Reduction Program (SNPR). Pure Waters provides the needed local match for larger state and/or federal grant dollars so that best management practices can be implemented throughout our watershed by our local Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCDs). Pure Waters planned on funding five new projects this year, along with finishing up three projects still underway from the previous year. In the fall when the need arose and our SWCD partners reached out, Pure Waters committed to funding another two projects. The timing of these projects can be highly weather dependent so our ability to be flexible is crucial for helping our partners. By the end of this year – we ended up helping fund another eight completed projects in our watershed with the final two to be finished up this coming year.
